Economic empowerment project

Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.” At Hands Empowered, our vision is simple and hopeful: to help the people of Ukambani become self-sufficient. We believe that within 5-7 years, they’ll be able to provide for their families independently, without needing help to feed or educate their children.

To make this dream a reality, we’re focusing on the one resource they need most—water. The land is fertile, and the community is ready to work; they just need a steady water source. By providing a borehole, we can transform this community.

With water in place, we’ll also set up greenhouses, share knowledge on growing nutritious crops, and support the villagers in beekeeping. These efforts will help them not only grow enough to feed their families but also produce extra to sell, creating a sustainable income.
